Date Night In Your Car?
There's probably only one way you'd enjoy date night in your car, and that's if it was parked in front of a giant screen and you had a big bag of popcorn on your lap.
The good news is that drive-in movie theaters haven't become completely extinct. The bad news is that the two closest options are still a bit of a hike. However, the experience is completely worth the drive, in my opinion. Here are two possibilities:
Silver Moon Drive-In
Lakeland – located at 4100 Route 92 W (New Tampa Hwy)
Operating since 1948, the Silver Moon has two screens showing double features. If you are planning to attend on a Friday or a Saturday night,
arrive early in order to avoid being turned-away.

Ocala Drive-In
Located at 4850 South Pine Avenue (Route 441)
This old solo screen is open every night showing a double feature with movie audio now broadcasting via FM radio. Admission: $4 for adults, kids under 9 are free. 352-629-1325
