The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes is one of the best hotels in Orlando for couples who want to get away from it all… without actually having to travel far away.
I've spent hours at their incredible 40,000 sq ft spa facility and I just love their adults-only pool area… very tranquil. Between the Ritz and the JW Marriott next door, you've got about a dozen dining options to choose from such as Norman's (Latin, Caribbean and Asian fusion) and Primo (one of the best Italian restaurants in Orlando). There's also a championship golf course and an excellent fitness center.
If you're really looking to lay on the romance, The Ritz also offers horse drawn carriage rides. Their ‘Grande Ride' begins with a bottle of Dom Perignon and is followed by a private candlelit 5-course dinner for two with wine pairings all served by your private butler. If that doesn't make your heart melt, nothing will.
"Reconnect" packages start at $219 per night, plus there are Bed and Breakfast packages starting at $239. Click here to see all overnight packages.
EVENT NOTE – The Ritz has a wonderful overnight event coming up this weekend that I'm only missing because I am seven months pregnant.
