As much as I love Rix Lounge at Disney's Coronado Springs Hotel, it's quite a hike for Orlando locals. So, I was thrilled to hear that one of my favorite Orlando date nigts has moved (at least temporarily) to a new central location. Playdate Orlando is a monthly event that mixes classic board games (think Connect Four and Jenga) with cocktails and good tunes. On Saturday, January 23rd, Playdate Orlando will be held at Legends Sports Bar and Grill, 1315 South Orange Avenue, Orlando. While Legends can't possibly compete with Rix's flashy decor and opulent vibe, the 30 minutes I'll save en route translates into less time in the car and more time kicking my hubby's butt at ‘Sorry'.
