I just got home from partaking in the cocoa craziness at the Festival of Chocolate and can report that the event is well worth the $17 admission and $1-$5 tasting fees. Judging by the hoards of people there, it's not Orlando's best kept secret, but it's still worthy of a visit. I spent at least an hour making my way through the tasting stations sampling goodies like yummy chocolate-covered popcorn, cake truffles, gelato, cupcakes, brownies, and just about everything chocolate-covered you can imagine (even chocolate covered hot peppers!)
There's a full line-up of events and presentations scheduled like the Best of Show competition today at 4:30pm and the Chocolate and Wine Pairing class scheduled today at 3pm. There are a ton of events and classes scheduled tomorrow too. Best to arrive around 9:45am on sunday to beat the crowds and snag a good parking spot.
Get off the couch and go eat some chocolate! www.festivalofchocolate.com
