There will be words

Sketch by Thomas Thorspecken

Lit lovers ought to check out the monthly gathering known as There Will Be Words, hosted at downtown’s Urban ReThink (625 E. Central Boulevard in Thornton Park) . Presented by Burrow Press and facilitated by J. Bradley, the reading series takes place on the second Tuesday of every month and features four writers—short fiction or poetry—who take to the small stage to share their work with the beer and wine sipping crowd.

Make a night out of it! Thornton Park is home to a handful of fabulous restaurants including Hue Restaurant and Shari Sushi, both of which flank Urban ReThink.

There Will Be Words starts promptly at 7pm and runs until 8pm. Admission is free but a $5 donation to the Urban Think Foundation is appreciated.

The next event is scheduled on Tuesday, June 12. Doors open at 6pm.
