Wow… the arrival of this year’s Global Peace Film Festival (GPFF) couldn’t be timelier. I think we could all use a little reminder to “Give Peace a Chance.”
Now in its tenth year, the GPFF hosts a collection of nearly 50 films at various screening locations around Orlando from September 18 – 25.
While all the films are noteworthy, I’m psyched about seeing THE ZEN OF BENNETT, a film about Tony Bennett’s 60-year career. In the film, he personally shares philosophies on life, lessons learned, social conscience and his passion for art and music, as well as the making of DUETS 11, the album featuring collaborations with John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Andrea Bocelli, Aretha Franklin, and the late Amy Winehouse.
There is a FREE SCREENING of this film at Rollins College outside on the “Green” at 8:30pm on Tuesday, September 18th. In the case of rain, this screening will move into the Alfonds Sports Center, all on the Rollins campus.
Many of the films in the festival are free; some have $8 tickets prices.
