Park avenueHere’s the trouble with just going out to dinner for date night: the night’s too short.

If we’ve booked a babysitter for 3-4 hours, I want to soak up every last minute of that time with my hubby out on the town.

Last Saturday we experienced what just might be the perfect solution: a progressive dinner!

The concept is simple… pick a spot in the Orlando area that has an assortment of restaurants all within walking distance of each other.

Choose a restaurant for cocktails and appetizers.
Then, walk to the next one for wine and entrees.
Finally, wander to your final destination for dessert … and more wine, of course!

Here is a list of local dining districts ideal for this date night experience:

Park Avenue, Winter Park
Winter Park Village
Hannibal Square
Church Street
Thornton Park
College Park (Edgewater Drive)
Downtown Disney
Sand Lake Road (Restaurant Row)
Ivanhoe Village
Kissimmee Main Street
Historic Sanford (First Street)
