Take your date night out of this world, literally, with a visit to the Planetarium at Seminole State College where weekly interactive shows bring thousands of stars and the stories behind them into clear view.
During the winter months, planetarium staff also host “Sidewalk Astronomy,” a series of outdoor telescope viewing events designed to enlighten smitten stargazers about Central Florida skies.
Cost is suuuuuper cheap: just $6 pp.
The Planetarium will be hosting the Winter Sky Festival on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 6 p.m. until midnight. Visitors will be treated to telescope viewings of Jupiter, the moon, galaxies, star clusters and nebulae, as well as a live presentation of our flagship show, “Central Florida Nights,” at 7:30 p.m. In addition, there will be several of Orlando’s food trucks at the event selling their culinary creations.
