Hyde-Park-on-Hudson-Trailer-Poster1In Theaters

Everyone loves Bill Murray. How can you not? In “Hyde Park on Hudson,” Bill Murray plays President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in this movie about how he and his wife hosted the King and Queen of England at their vacation home in upstate New York just prior to World War II. This is a very well reviewed film, and Bill Murray is getting lots of buzz for his portrayal of the president. This, in my opinion, would make for a fantastic date movie, especially since it is playing at the Enzian Theater, the best movie theater in town.

On DVD
If you are staying home, then get “Ted” on DVD (or on streaming video or whatever), because this is pretty much the funniest movie of 2012. It is also kind of a romantic comedy, since the movie is about Mark Wahlberg’s character trying not to screw up his relationship with his girlfriend (played by Mila Kunis), though obviously in the end this movie is all about this foul-mouth, bawdy, weed-smoking, Flash Gordon watching, partying teddy bear. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, this is your chance.

Here is my original review of “Ted” from Examiner.com.
