I’m probably going to catch some heat for this, but I have a confession to make: sometimes I think seeing a cover band is better than seeing the real thing!!

Here’s why: when I head to a concert to see my favorite band, I want to hear all the songs I know, which are usually all the tunes from their previous albums. But the band, understandably so, wants to play all their new stuff, which is, well, kind of boring to me because I don’t know those songs yet. Is anyone seeing my logic here?

Those that are will probably be thrilled to hear that there is a Dave Matthews Band tribute show this Friday, January 11 at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7) at House of Blues.

Tickets are just $10 and there is always free parking at Downtown Disney’s West End where HOB if located.

Best of all, you’re guaranteed to hear songs like “Crash into Me” and “Satellite.” Maybe even “Don’t Drink the Water.” Love that one!

Even if you would still prefer to see the real thing, you might as well settle for the cover band… DMB isn’t touring this year ☹

For more information or to buy tickets to Friday’s show, head to the House of Blues website.
