Recently I had the lovely experience of having brunch in Celebration at the Bohemian Hotel (sister property to downtown’s Grand Bohemian) and I was not disappointed. My official rating would be: “Wow-E-Wow!”

Since I live Downtown, I will be the first to admit that going to Celebration for brunch is quite a trek. Let no one say that I’m not committed to finding great food! The hotel is located near Celebration’s Town Center, which houses several shops and restaurants surrounding a huge lake with a walking trail around it. If you’ve never been there before, this is the PERFECT reason to go out and spend the morning. Brunch runs from 11:00am to 2pm, but trust me, you'll want to get there early.

Food Style: Brunch includes a very well laid out buffet with a carving station, several cold salads, peel ‘n’ eat shrimp, a cheese station (I think I cleared this out by myself!) and a dessert bar.  You get all of the brunch items, plus one entrée item. My fiancé and I chose the Crab Cakes. If you are a fan of crab cakes, get these! They are 90% crab, very little filler (we asked!) and prepared to perfection. They are on the small side, but it doesn’t matter, you’ll be at the cheese station anyway lol. There is a Bloody Mary bar (naturally) and unlimited mimosas. Like I said, you want to get there earlyJ

Why I’m loving this place:
The scenery is beautiful. The lobby (with its own art gallery) and patio areas are so well done, it makes you feel like you are on vacation at a lux hotel. We sat outdoor on the patio, listened to the live piano music, and enjoyed the fresh air.  The buffet is $34.95/per person and it’s worth every penny. Especially if you like mimosas because they use freshly squeezed orange juice. I’ve already made plans to have a girl’s brunch here with my bridesmaids… did I mention unlimited mimosas?!

What’s next?: The location of this hotel is great if you want to take a quick walk to the town center marketplace and continue your Sunday Funday.  We stopped at this wine bar a few shops down from the hotel and had  $5 Bellinis while watching the Gator basketball game (my fiancé was determined to interject some testosterone in this day!). After that we headed to Kilwin’s for ice cream, treats and fudge. Needless to say, we walked around happy and full!

SavannahThis date night experience was contributed by Tisha Mccray. “Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Tisha and I live downtown in the Thorton Park area. I have been living downtown for about 4 years now and feel I have a pretty good grip on eating well….on a budget. Many of my friends don’t understand how my fiancé and I can afford to eat out as much as we do, but I’m much better at finding great deals, than great recipes!”
