WINNER… Jonathan Hoffman

Calling all opera fans!!

The Barber of Seville, Rossini's legendary libretto, will light up the stage at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 25th (8pm) and Sunday, October 27th (2pm).

Sung in Italian with English supertitles, this uproarious comedy is filled with high wire feats of vocal agility, nonstop action, tenderness and joy.

The story follows town barber and local nuisance Figaro as he helps the young Rosina escape an unwanted marriage to her elderly guardian, Dr. Bartolo. Through their clever antics, Rosina is free to marry the Count Almaviva, who disguises himself as a poor student to win her heart.
