Lots of new surprises have been bubbling out of the kitchen at The Alfond Inn where Chef Marc Kusche took over the helm as Executive Chef of Hamilton’s Kitchen this past spring.
Since his arrival, the restaurant has launched a Sunday brunch and unveiled new dishes that are earning Chef Kusche accolades from local restaurant reviewers, including Orlando Magazine’s Joseph Hayes who wrote a great review in the August issue.
Hamilton’s Kitchen has become a favorite because of its quieter Winter Park locale, chic and artful aesthetic and its decadent and delicious cuisine. A great way to experience all of these elements is through the new Tasting Menu.
This 4-course experience offers a series of smaller portions of the recipes Chef Kusche brought with him to Hamilton’s.
It begins with a choice of starters, including the Watermelon Salad, which is served with a bed of arugula and tossed with savory prosciutto.
Then guests move onto the second course, a choice of Shrimp Linguine or Wild Mushroom Ravioli.
The main course options offer something for everyone, including Salmon, Steak Frites, Short Ribs and Tuna.
And then of course, there’s dessert, which offers a choice of either Brioche Bread Pudding or Key Lime Cheesecake. Tough choice. Good thing there's two of you!
Cost is $45 per person; $55 with a wine pairing included. No special reservations are necessary for this experience, however, restaurant reservations are encouraged on weekends.
After your epicurean journey, be sure to grab a fun cocktail from the bar and either chill out in the chic lounge area or head outside, if the weather allows, to sit by the glowing outdoor firepit on the terrace.
