This month the Thornton Park District launched a weekly farmer’s market, which now takes place every Wednesday evening from 5pm to 9pm on S. Osceola Avenue by Lake Eola Park (across the street from Eola Wine Co.).

Each week, about a dozen or more local vendors set up shop and give shoppers the chance to buy fresh produce, cheeses, plants, baked goods, pickles and so much more.

Make it a date: This market is packed with lots of eat-as-you-stroll nosh so grab $20 and enjoy a fresh feast on the fly. Afterward, take a walk around Lake Eola, paddle across the shimmering waters in a swan boat (more info here) or enjoy a wine fight at Eola Wine Co. You can use this map to help you figure out parking.
