Christmas at Gaylord Palms kicked off this past weekend with a slew of festive experiences and attractions designed to celebrate the holiday season from November 18, 2016 – January 1, 2017.
Besides a new ICE! theme (welcome to Orlando, Charlie Brown!), this five-week event unveiled a few new additions including the Christmas Wish Light Show, an Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt and a new snowball throwing experience located in Alpine Village.
ICE! featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas
Two million pounds of ice have been hand-carved to create iconic scenes with the Peanuts gang including their holiday play rehearsal, Snoopy’s decorated doghouse and Charlie Brown choosing the perfect Christmas tree, all inside a frosty 9-degree winter wonderland. Throw on your blue ICE! parka as well as your mitts and hat before wandering through this astonishing frozen space.
Adults 21 and older can upgrade their ICE! experience to gain access to On The Blocks – the exclusive bar inside ICE! – and enjoy three select beverage samplings: The Jolly Mint specialty drink featuring Jackson Morgan Southern Cream and Hangar One Vodka; a Goose Island Beer; plus a Merry Margarita featuring Milagro Tequila.

SNOW TUBING & SNOW THROW
Alpine Village is now home to an eight-lane tubing hill made from real snow. Race down the hill in tubes (provided) for $19.99 (unlimited runs) then head over to the new Santa's Snow Throw where you'll test your snowball-throwing aim at a series of targets ($9.99).
Cosmic Snow Tubing
Held all evenings from 6pm to close, Cosmic Snow Tubing will add a fun, party vibe to this attraction with flashing LED lights and high-spirited holiday music.
FREE SHOWS AND ATRIUM LIGHTS
More than 2 million twinkling lights, plus a beautiful 60-foot-tall Christmas tree, have set Gaylord Palms' 2.5-acre atrium aglow.
Wander through the festive space searching for the Elf on the Shelf ($9.99 for a scavenger hunt booklet) and then head over to the atrium's Emerald Bay Plaza Stage for the Cirque Dreams UnWrapped Stage Show, featuring a dazzling array of aerial artistry performed with holiday music. New this year, the Christmas Wish Light Show descends on the resort a few times each evening through January 1, 2017 with a stunning six-minute light show with narration, classic holiday music and dazzling visual effects centered on the incredible 60-foot LED-lit Christmas tree towering above Emerald Plaza.
