Orlando Art Events 2019/20 Broadway Season in Orlando

The lineup for the upcoming FAIRWINDS 2019-20 Broadway Season in Orlando at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts offers a delightful mix of adventure, love and theatrics. Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Florida Theatrical Association and Broadway Across America recently announced the roster of noteworthy shows that will arrive in the Walt Disney Theater and it is one for the books! 

During the season, nine different Broadway tours will make their way to Orlando. The season includes Disney's Aladdin, Mean Girls and My Fair Lady, along with two season add-on options, including the newly announced Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

Escape to Margaritaville

November 12-17, 2019; Public on sale August 16

Welcome to Margaritaville, where people come to get away from it all—and stay to find something they never expected. Escape to Margaritaville is the musical comedy featuring both original songs and your most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Fins,” “Volcano,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and many more.

The Play That Goes Wrong

Deember 3 – 8, 2019; Public on sale October 11

What would happen if Sherlock Holmes and Monty Python had an illegitimate Broadway baby? You’d get The Play That Goes Wrong, Broadway and London’s award-winning smash comedy! Miss Saigon

March 31 – April 5, 2019; Public on sale January 24, 2020

This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. For 3 years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he's fathered a son.

A Bronx Tale

My Fair Lady

May 26 – May 31, 2020; public on sale April 24, 2020

Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly” and “On the Street Where You Live,” My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” But who is really being transformed?

Les Misérables

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical

June 11 – June 14, 2020; Public on sale December 13

Beautiful—The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

Tickets and Subscriptions

Prices for a seven-show subscription start at $384. Prices vary based on seating location.

Season subscribers will have first access to tickets to Les Miserables and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. These return engagements are Season Options and will not be included in the standard FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando 19/20 subscription package.
