Sip Craft Beer, Coffee, Wine + More on New Craft Trail in West Volusia County

Could you use a little dose of adventure right about now? While major travel may be on hold, you can at least take your tastebuds on a fun craft beverage adventure sipping craft beer, wine, coffee, meads and more on the new Craft Trail in West Volusia County.

The new Cool Craft Beverage Trail is a self-guided trail featuring an assortment of craft beverage stops. Sip on craft beer at one of West Volusia County's craft breweries, get your caffeine fix at local coffee shops, check out local vineyards and wine shops and more. The trail highlights a total of 13 stops throughout West Volusia County, from DeBary to Downtown DeLand and beyond. Maps are available at any participating location.

After visiting five of the stops, you'll get a free koozie. In order to get yours, you'll need to follow @VisitWestVolusia and post a photo from each stop on Instagram using #CoolCraftTrail. Then, fill out the contact form on the website and you'll be sent your koozie.

CRAFT DRINKS ON THE TRAIL

BEER

Hyderhead Brewery – DeLand
Following the strict recipes and utilizing non-GMO ingredients, the folks at Hyderhead invite you to have a wee taste of the highlands in their legendary Downtown DeLand brewery, themed after the founders’ Scottish heritage. Open Wednesday – Sunday from 1 – 11pm.

Blue Springs Brewing – Orange City
Note: Blue Springs Brewing is currently closed through December 14, 2020 and will reopen on December 15, 2020. Florida inspired and Volusia brewed, Blue Springs Brewing, named after nearby Blue Spring State Park, brings delicious food and drinks to the heart of West Volusia County. Open Tuesday-Thursday 4pm-10pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-11pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.

Central 28 Beer Company – DeBary
The culmination of 25+ years of brewing outstanding beers of exceptional quality, Central 28 Beer Company is a meaningful leader in the local craft brewery scene, offering crisp, superior beers. Open Monday-Thursday 4-9pm. Friday 3-10pm, Saturday 12-10pm and Sunday 12-6pm.

Persimmon Hollow Brewing Company – DeLand
Sporting American and Belgian-style beers, Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co. is the dream of two brewers and best friends who wanted nothing more than to open a craft brewery in the heart of historic Downtown DeLand. Open daily from 12pm-midnight.

Trilogy Coffee Roasting Co. – DeLand
Trilogy is a small batch coffee roaster that is locally known for its ethically sourced, exceptional specialty coffee. Roasting each batch each day, Trilogy is the local expert in bringing out the ideal flavor from each coffee bean. Open Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6pm, Friday 7:30am-9pm, and Saturday-Sunday 8:30am-3pm.

Breyting Community Roaster
Founded by enduring friends Von Coven and Fred Schneider (frontman of the iconic rock group, The B-52’s). The roastery was created to do one thing well, support non-profit organizations through the sales of coffee. Open virtually 24/7 and locally for select seasonal pop-ups.

MG Coffee Brews & Bites – DeBary
Enjoy organic, single-origin, fresh roasted coffee and teas from around the world, along with your choice of freshly baked pastries, cakes and sweets … and don’t forget the sandwiches at this unique DeBary bakery. Open Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.

The Elusive Grape – DeLand
Featuring more than 40 different wines by the glass and a selection of cold beer, The Elusive Grape has been proudly serving as “DeLand’s living room” since 2003. Open Tuesday-Wednesday 2-8pm, Thursday 2-9pm, Friday 2-10pm and Saturday 12-10pm.

Elliott Vineyards – Pierson
Enjoy the unique tastes of the Sunshine State with locally grown Muscadine grapes, available all year long frozen, and learn the art of the craft of winemaking at Elliott Vineyards, home of the Sandhill Crane Gang Wine Club. Call for current hours and more info.
