Unique Spots for a Romantic Night Out by @roamsick

Instagram is our favorite social media platform, so periodically we showcase local digital storytellers to introduce you to some of our favorite Orlando Instagrammers. We love following them and we hope you will too!

This time, we're featuring Natalie Monzon and Duncan Rodriguez, the couple behind @roamsick on Instagram. Together for four years, this local couple hit it off at a Halloween party and has been together ever since. The couple connected over their mutual love for exploring, which eventually led them to start sharing their adventures on social media. Follow along as they check out local restaurants and new places in Orlando and travel to other exciting destinations. Natalie and Duncan have a passion for sharing their adventures and love seeing others visit the places they recommend.

Read on for a few of their favorite unique date night spots in Orlando!

Cocktails + Conversation

When we’re in the mood for drinks, our go-to bar is The Guesthouse. We love the Hummingbird, a cocktail made with prosecco, elderflower and lemon zest. Right next door to it is another favorite, Sunroom. They have the most unique vibes and the perfect atmosphere for a date night.

If we’re looking for something more intimate, we head to Hanson’s Shoe Repair. This is a rooftop speakeasy that requires a password to get in. It’s the perfect place for quality drinks and great conversations.

Interactive Chocolate Date

When we want to change up our usual routine and do something a bit more interactive, we book a date night session at Farris & Foster’s Chocolate Factory in Baldwin Park. You get to make one pound of chocolates while sipping on wine. You can get as creative as you like. It’s such a fun time and more exciting than your standard dinner date.

Farm Festivals

If you're looking for the perfect fall date night, Southern Hill Farms is where it's at. Depending on the time of year, you can pick your own strawberries, blueberries and sunflowers and enjoy all of the festivities. Right now, they have a fall festival which includes the best food, activities, and drinks. Don't skip out on their apple cider donuts!

Unique Couple Photo Session

Wall Crawl is the perfect place to take some cute couple photos together. This indoor photo studio has over 20 walls that change seasonally. Every time we go, we get the best and most unique photos. We love that they contract local artists to create the walls. It's such a cool space and will definitely elevate your Instagram feed.

Gourmet Picnic in the Park

A great date option when Orlando decides to give us that beautiful fall weather is to have a picnic! We love using local company Orlando Picnic. They set everything up, and even do the clean up for you! Different themes and add-on options make the picnic experience even more fun. We highly recommend having your picnic at Kraft Azalea Gardens, which is a beautiful spot in Winter Park with tons of shade.

Dinner Favorites

Chroma in Lake Nona is our go-to spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and date nights. Everything we get is always so good. We love that the plates are shareable, so you get to experience every bite together. Our favorite dishes are the Korean BBQ Lamb Ribs and Georgio’s Meatballs.

Another great spot for a dinner date is Reyes Mezcaleria. Not only is the restaurant beautiful, the food is just as good! We like going for their happy hour (Tuesday-Sunday 4-7pm) to sip $6 margaritas and order a bunch of appetizers. The empanadas are a must!
