Hispanic Heritage Month Community Celebration Event

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz invite you to the 17th edition of the City of Orlando’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Event.
This free event gathers our community to celebrate the heritage, culture and contributions of Hispanic residents to our city and nation with Latin food, music and entertainment.

“Noche de Sabor” at Museum of Illusions

On Saturday, Sept. 30, Museum of Illusions at ICON Park invites guests to experience Noche de Sabor, or “Night of Flavors,” in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. From 6 to 9 p.m., the interactive attraction will throw an exclusive fiesta featuring a live DJ, dancing and more.

The Wheel at ICON Park will also take part in the celebration. During the event, party guests can take a complimentary trip on The Wheel, which will be lit up in Museum of Illusions’ signature orange to add to the fiesta. The party continues and the cerveza is flowing at the cash bar.

Admission to the party is $35 per ticket and guests must be 21+ to attend.

 

Latin Jazz and Art Festival

The Pedrito Martinez Group will headline Casselberry’s Latin Jazz and Art Festival on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lake Concord Park behind City Hall at 95 Triplet Lake Drive.
Martinez, born in Havana, Cuba and began his music career at the age of 11, is a multiple Grammy-nominated drummer who has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Sting and contributed to more than 100 albums.

Kavas Tacos + Tequila at Pointe Orlando is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by offering a special menu that will benefit Santiago & Friends – Family Center for Autism, a nonprofit by Latino Leadership that provides ABA therapy in a culturally- and linguistically-sensitive environment for Central Florida families.

From September 15 to October 15, Kavas Tacos is offering a special three-course menu for $40 per person, with $2 from each dinner sold being donated to Santiago & Friends.

On October 4, Kavas is hosting a Cena, inviting the entire Central Florida community to come out for dinner, cocktails, live entertainment, and to learn more about Santiago & Friends. An additional $1 will be donated for each dinner purchased on October 4.
