Many Disney fans, myself included, love connecting with our partners and sparking romance while at Disney. There's no denying that Disney World is a place for families, but over the years Disney has also created romantic experiences and places. Sure you can book expensive dinners, fancy resort hotel rooms, or specialty fireworks experiences, but there are plenty of other places throughout the parks to spark romance.
Whether you're strolling hand in hand inside one of the theme parks or spending an evening at Disney Springs, these are the most romantic spots in Walt Disney World.
Note: if you're looking for the most romantic restaurants at Walt Disney World, they are sprinkled throughout this list, which is categorized by location. You can also jump over to our list of 10 Romantic Restaurants at Disney Hotels – no theme park ticket required!
Romantic Spots in Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom may be the most well-known Disney theme park, and it sure does draw a lot of families. Yet there are still some romantic spots. Here are some of my favorites:
- Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
- Be Our Guest Restaurant
- Cinderella’s Royal Table
- Prince Charming’s Golden Carrousel
- Cinderella’s Wishing Well
- Cinderella Castle Hub
- Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
- Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse – at night
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is not the highest-rated restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but its atmosphere makes it worthy of a visit. After admiring the adorable Lady and the Tramp details, I like to request to sit outside overlooking Town Square. Even if all you do is order a glass of wine, an appetizer, and a dessert, it's a relaxing respite.
Of course, it's hard to beat the opulence of Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table. Both experiences are pricey, but the fairy tale atmospheres are not replicated elsewhere.
For romantic experiences that don't require a meal, hop aboard one of the beautiful carousel horses and go for a spin on Prince Charming’s Golden Carrousel for a storybook view of Fantasyland.
Afterward, walk down the pathway to the left of Cinderella Castle, when facing the back of the castle. Along this pathway is Cinderella's Wishing Well, a popular spot for proposals. Even if you are not celebrating a big moment, you're sure to find romance as you gaze at the water and Cinderella Castle in this quiet spot.
Over in Adventureland, enjoy a tropical serenade at Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. This classic attraction has a lovely preshow area with a tropical waterfall and silly tiki birds. While you wait for the show to start I suggest opening the MyDisneyExperience app to place a mobile food order for a snack nearby.
Once inside the theatre-in-the-round, sit back and relax. Take in all the tropical details and sit close together as this special attraction harkens back to Disney's earliest days.
Once you've been serenaded by the tiki room, pull up the MyDisneyExperience app and indicate you're ready for your treat. After enjoying your sweet treat together, scale the stairs of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. This simple attraction offers great views of the Magic Kingdom and is especially romantic at night.
Hidden Romantic Places in EPCOT
It's hard to beat the romance of World Showcase at EPCOT. In fact, every spot on this list of romantic places in EPCOT is located within World Showcase.
- Victoria Gardens at the Canada Pavilion
- United Kingdom Pavilion Garden
- International Gateway
- Disney Skyliner
- France Pavilion
- Morocco Pavilion
- Japan Pavilion
- Italy Pavilion
One of the great debates among Disney fans is whether to start with the Mexico Pavilion or the Canada Pavilion when walking around World Showcase. For romantic experiences, I suggest starting in the Canada Pavilion. The Victoria Gardens area near Le Cellier Steakhouse is small, but mighty. During the day it is especially beautiful as the flowers provide brilliant pops of color.
Many Disney adults have the United Kingdom Pavilion on their list because of the Rose and Crown Pub. And while the pub is a great spot, romance can be found across the promenade. Wander down the side street where little shops line the walkway and a garden awaits at the end. A small labyrinth made from trimmed hedges is a fun place to explore together. There are quite a few benches here, so sit and enjoy some quiet time together.
In between the United Kingdom Pavilion and the France Pavilion is International Gateway. This is a special entrance used by guests of nearby Disney hotels. It is also a nice spot off to the side to sit for a few minutes.
Or keep walking to the park exit and hop aboard the Disney Skyliner for the most magical ride on Earth. The Skyliner is free to ride, and can be a fun way to have a Disney Skyliner pub crawl too. You'll be able to pop back into the park when you're ready, you'll just need to be ready to go through the security check again, and have your park ticket ready to reenter the park.
It should be pretty obvious that the France Pavilion is a romantic spot in EPCOT. Just make sure you take the time to walk through the multiple pathways in the pavilion. Treat yourself to something sweet at L'Artisan des Glaces as you stroll through the pavilion.
Right next door is the Morocco Pavilion. This is a great spot for a romantic adventure as you discover the winding path through the marketplace. You'll need to head off the main World Showcase Promenade and walk into the pavilion itself to get the most out of this atmospheric area.
Continuing on the promenade is yet another romantic pavilion, as long as you know where to look. The Japan Pavilion has a lot to explore, including a massive department store. Across from the large department store, with two restaurants on the second story, is Katsura Grill. This quick-service dining location has a beautiful outdoor dining area that winds through a garden full of zen and tranquility.
For the ultimate date night at EPCOT, book a reservation at Shiki-Sai around the time of the EPCOT Fireworks so you can dine on delicious Japanese cuisine, sip a drink, and watch the fireworks.

A popular spot for Disney weddings and special events is the Italy Pavilion. The beautiful pavilion is a paradise if you love Italian cuisine and Italian wine. Grab a glass of wine at one of the multiple wine shops around the pavilion, or gelato at the new gelato shop. Then stroll around the pavilion and pop into the unique shops.
Make a wish and toss a coin into the fountain — all coins collected in Disney fountains are donated to charity.
Most Romantic Spots in Disney's Hollywood Studios
Find your happily ever after with a Hollywood twist at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This park is for couples that love glitz, glamour, and showbiz.
- Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant and Lounge
- Baseline Taphouse
- PizzeRizzo – this is not a joke, promise
- Star Wars Galaxy's Edge – at night
- Echo Lake
- Sunset Boulevard
Have lunch at the Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant or for something more budget-friendly, grab a round of specialty drinks and some lite bites at the outdoor Brown Derby Lounge.
Sadly the word has gotten out about Baseline Taphouse. What was once a quiet, hidden gem inside a Disney theme park is now a popular watering hole. Still, the outdoor beer garden is a great spot to enjoy a drink and a massive Bavarian-style pretzel.
Right across the way is PizzeRizzo, which is a quick-service pizza joint themed after The Muppets. At first glance, this is not a romantic spot. But great views can be found. Mobile order a cannoli and then head upstairs to the outdoor terrace.
Enjoy your sweet treat together as you enjoy the view from above.
The main attraction of Disney's Hollywood Studios is Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. This highly-themed area is loved by many Star Wars fans. And as much as I love Star Wars, I would not recommend this area for romance during the day. But once evening begins and it gets a little quieter, it is lovely for an evening stroll.
My favorite thing to do is wait until the final hour before park closing to stroll around and enjoy the unique nighttime sound and lighting effects of Galaxy's Edge.
Another relaxing spot is near the center of the park. Echo Lake is a great spot to relax, day or night. Grab an ice cream from Dinosaur Gertie's Ice Cream, or a beverage from Tune-In Lounge. Then relax on one of the many benches that line the lake. There are also interesting details on the buildings in this area, so look up at the windows and doors for special details.
The best way to end a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios is on Sunset Boulevard. Although the eery Tower of Terror towers over Sunset Boulevard, the art deco buildings and 1940's music make for a great place for a romantic stroll hand in hand. It feels like movie magic.
Romantic Spots in Disney's Animal Kingdom
For adventurous couples, Disney's Animal Kingdom is actually the most romantic park at Walt Disney World. In fact, my husband proposed to me in front of the Tree of Life. As long as you are creative and willing to explore, you might just find romance here too.
- The Oasis
- Tiffins Restaurant
- Nomad Lounge
- Dawa Bar
- Tree of Life Discovery Trails
- Maharaja Jungle Trek
- Pandora – World of Avatar
As soon as you enter Disney's Animal Kingdom you'll be in one of the most romantic spots in the park. The Oasis is like the park's main street. Except it is split into two and full of lush plants, waterfalls, and exotic animals. Take your time here and appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, as other guests rush past missing the moment.
One of my favorite Disney theme park restaurants is Tiffins. This signature dining restaurant is themed around the wonder of travel. The decor is full of details and treasures, many of which were found by Disney Imagineers during their world travels.
Located in the same building as Tiffins is Nomad Lounge. In my book, this is the best lounge in any Disney World theme park.
The interior is beautiful, full of the same details dedicated to the love of travel as Tiffins, but with posh lounge seating and a gorgeous, dark wood bar. Plus there is a lovely wrap-around porch with outdoor lounge seating.
For something a little less extravagant, grab a special drink at Dawa Bar. This outdoor bar is located in the Harambe Village, the park's Africa-themed area. The seating is shaded and you can usually catch live entertainment while enjoying your drinks together.
The centerpiece of this park is the magnificent Tree of Life. Rather than just admire it from afar, get up close and explore the Tree of Life Discovery Trails. Not many people know about these trails. Not only do they afford breathtaking views, but they are also relatively quiet and great for stealing away for a kiss or two.
In the Asia section of the park is a beautiful walking trail: Maharajah Jungle Trek. This trail has a breathtaking aviary full of lovely exotic birds. The tiger viewing area is so gorgeous you'll enjoy walking through even if the tigers are hiding or lying around all day.
Cap off your adventurous day of romance at Animal Kingdom by going off-world. Nothing beats the nighttime atmosphere of Pandora – World of Avatar. Although the rides here are pretty cool, just walking around this area at night is worth it. It can be a little rough to see in some spots at night, which is just an excuse to hold hands and stay close.
Romantic Places at Disney Springs
The ultimate Disney date destination is Disney Springs. Bursting with dining options, bars, delightful shops, and entertainment, it's easy to plan a date here from pub crawls to brunch spots. Besides countless restaurants and bars, there are a few spots around Disney Springs with a lovely atmosphere.
- Enzo's Hideaway Tunnel Bar
- Wine Bar George
- Jaleo by Chef José Andrés
- Outdoor Bar at THE BOATHOUSE
- The Shine Deck at Homecomin' Kitchen
- Outdoor Bar at Terralina Crafted Italian
- Rooftop Deck at Paddlefish
- Dockside Margaritas
- Aerophile Balloon
- The Walkway and Plaza near Disney Aerophile Balloon
One of my favorite romantic spots at Disney Springs is a little hidden. Located near the West Side, Enzo's Hideaway Tunnel Bar sits underneath Maria and Enzo's. At Enzo's Hideaway Bar, you can enjoy aged rums, specialty cocktails, Italian wines, and delicious sharable plates.
Of course, the best spot for wine at Disney Springs is Wine Bar George. This special wine bar offers great service, food that is perfectly paired to go with wine, and the ability to order any wine on the menu as a 1 oz. pour if you wish to explore something different.
Right next door is THE BOATHOUSE which is a great choice for superb seafood. I am especially fond of their outdoor bar that juts out onto the lake.
Two other wonderful outdoor bars at Disney Springs are at Homecomin' Kitchen and Terralina Crafted Italian. The outdoor bar at Homecomin' Kitchen is so relaxing and offers great views of the water of Disney Springs. Sip on Moonshine Cocktails and indulge in delicious Southern food appetizers.
Over at Terralina Crafted Italian, the Italian food is not top tier, but satisfactory. The outdoor bar atmosphere is worth at least ordering a round of drinks and an appetizer, plus there is Happy Hour from 4-6pm at the outside bar.
Right next door a riverboat-looking building sits on the water inviting couples to enjoy seafood in a venue that is a part of Disney history. Originally the Empress Lilly in the early days of Walt Disney World, Paddlefish is a romantic restaurant with a rooftop bar. This place is perfect during sunset as you raise a glass to the beautiful views.
Another wonderful place to enjoy a sunset at Disney Springs is Dockside Margaritas. This outdoor bar (no food menu so plan accordingly) has a Florida citrus stand theme and sits right on the water. The sunset views are breathtaking and there is often live music here.
Strolling around Disney Springs is pretty romantic itself — unless it's a jam-packed weekend night. Over at West Side, you'll find a lovely walkway along the water that runs from the Disney Aerophile Balloon all the way down to House of Blues. This walkway along the water is much quieter than the main walkways and has places to sit so you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere together. Of course, a ride aboard the Disney Aerophile Balloon is a great way to sweep your honey off their feet.
Pro-tip: The Disney Aerophile Balloon is only $15 per person if you board before 10:00 am.
BONUS IDEA: A new drone show will take to the skies of Disney Springs West Side starting Memorial Day weekend and through the summer!
Romance at Disney Resort Hotels
There are over 20 hotels at Walt Disney World and many of them can be quite romantic. Which Disney hotels are best for couples is a whole other topic, which we've covered thoroughly in this post. All of the resorts listed below are great for a romantic stroll, so besides heading to any of the specific destinations listed below, make time to stroll around the resort too. Many have rocking chairs and benches so you can sit and relax.
Just a friendly reminder that to access parking at Disney hotels the official policy is that you need a confirmed dining reservation or need to be a guest staying at the hotel. Using a rideshare service can help with this, as well as using Disney transportation from Disney Springs.
Whether you are staying at a Disney hotel, or not, there are plenty of romantic spots at many Disney hotels. Another recommendation is to mobile order from one of the resort restaurants for takeout and then find a quiet spot to have a quiet dinner together.
