Completely FREE Ways To Welcome 2023 In St. Augustine

Fabulous celebrations don't have to cost a thing!

Light Up The NIGHT! Beach Fireworks Show takes place on December 31 at St. Augustine Beach, starting at 8:30 PM. The event offers several viewing locations on the beach itself, and on St. Augustine Pier. Choose from parking at City Hall, Ron Parker Park, Anastasia Square parking lot, and at the YMCA after 1PM.

Free shuttles from Anastasia Beach Church to the beach viewing spots will also run. Come early, pack a picnic, and settle in for beautiful pyrotechnics over the ocean.

Not in the mood for the illuminations? That’s ok! The Colonial Oak Music Park (21 St. George Street, St. Augustine, FL) is offering a FREE concert event with Groove Coalition. The music starts at 8:00 PM, and afterward, enjoy the countdown and ball drop under the canopy of oaks in the heart of downtown St. Augustine.

Maybe you're an early bird and want to catch the ball drop at Times Square from the comfort of your couch. Legacy Ale Works has the answer with their Early Bird New Year's Eve from 3-6PM. Enjoy the DJ, a countdown, and a complimentary champagne toast at 6PM! It's the perfect, free solution for those who prefer to spend the night at home.

New Year's Celebrations Under $100

For just under $100, you can celebrate New Year's in St. Augustine in some unique and exciting ways!

Those free fireworks are gorgeous from the beach, but even more incredible on the water.

You'll board your two-hour charter at St. Augustine Pier, and cruise into Salt Run for the show, with a view of the Nights of Lights along the way. Are you “those people” who run 5k’s on holidays? Look no further than the New Year’s Eve Run on December 31 at 3:00PM. Start at the Veteran’s Memorial Arena, and run 3.1 miles through downtown before the night's festivities begin! Your registration of $35 includes a race shirt,and custom medal, and all proceeds go to Gator Bowl Charities.

Maybe you want to soak up some culture! The Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College will stage Die Fledermaus (The Bat), by Johann Strauss Jr.,  on New Year’s Eve. This operetta is performed completely in English, and attendees will enjoy complimentary champagne at intermission.

This is a great excuse to get dressed up and enjoy an evening out. Tickets are available here, starting at $50 ($20 for students).

Glam It Up Before The Stroke Of Midnight

New Year’s in St. Augustine is the time for glam and galas! Grab your favorite fit and dancing shoes and get ready for the celebrations of the year!

The Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach will host its New Year's Eve – Carnival Celebration from 7:30PM to 1:00AM. Join the party in the stunning Anastasia Ballroom and prepare to dance the night away with a DJ, open bar, specialty food stations, favors, and a midnight countdown. The dress code is formal. Tickets are $175 and going fast!

Ring in 2022 with the Junior Service League of St. Augustine at the Fountain of Youth for their Annual Gala. The party starts at 8:30PM, and runs until 12:30AM. You’ll enjoy the gorgeous venue, as well as an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a carving station, desserts, a photo booth, and a champagne toast.

Live music is provided by Chillula for all your dancing! Get your individual tickets or reserve a table here, and remember that all proceeds go to a great local cause.
