The lovely weather in Florida offers a unique opportunity for a wide range of outdoor activities. One of our favorite ways to spend some time outdoors when the weather is right is to visit one of the charming local farms. And, a favorite among them is Amber Brooke Farms in Eustis. My family and I have visited Amber Brooke Farms in Eustis multiple times. We love all there is to do and the charm of this beautiful farm. And now, we're sharing the best things to do and important tips so you can have the best date together.
Exploring Amber Brooke Farms Eustis
Located approximately 45 minutes from the heart of Orlando (or just 30 minutes from Lake County), Amber Brooke Farms is not your average u-pick farm.
While strawberry and blueberry season is a highlight, there's so much more to enjoy. The Fall Festival is one of our absolute favorites in the area. During the spring season, the berry and crop festivals offer a chance to celebrate the beauty of spring on the farm.
- Sunflower Fields: Depending on the season, you can also pick your own sunflowers and zinnias, adding a splash of vibrant color to your day.
- Family Activities: Race down the slide hill with burlap sacks in hand, enjoy a delightful ride on the cow train, play a friendly game of tug of war, let the kids mine for gems or practice their archery skills, enjoy live music, and more.
- Fall Festival and Strawberry Festival: Enjoy an awesome Fall Festival and the fan-favorite Strawberry Festival just before spring.
- Strawberry Picking: Pick your own delicious, juicy strawberries from December to April.
- Blueberry Picking: Once strawberry season wraps up, it's time to pick juicy blueberries usually March to May.
- Sweet Corn Festival: Pick fresh corn off the stalk during this all-new event happening in May.
- Sip & Savor Food and Wine Festival: Sip and savor dishes and drinks from local food trucks in an All-New event, happening weekends in late January.
Amber Brooke Farms offers various activities that make it the perfect destination for family outings, a romantic escape, or simply a day when time slows down, and life feels simpler.
During the Fall Festival, from late September through the entire month of October you can browse an adorable pumpkin patch and explore the crop maze (following Hurricane Milton this year's crop maze is smaller than years past).
There are tons of fall photo opportunities too.
When the holidays roll around head back to Amber Brooke Farms for a precious Winter Fest. And in the spring you can enjoy blueberry and strawberry festivals, with an Easter egg hunt as well.

Each time we visit Amber Brooke Farms we have a blast exploring the farm's family-friendly attractions. The slide hill with burlap sacks in hand is always a hit and usually the first thing that grabs our attention.
The delightful cow train made of barrels is a favorite farm tradition for little ones, and there is also a regular hayride, which provides an informative tour of the area.
The jump pads, along with unique playgrounds are great for the kids to get some energy out. You can also add on gem mining so you or your kids can go home with some unique treasures.
Other attractions include a sand pit, spider web ropes course, and a sports ball zone, offering endless entertainment before you even step into the flower or strawberry fields.
Activities include:
- Slide hill
- Cow train

Plus during special events like the Fall Festival there are add-on activities! The Gel Blasters are for ages 5 and older, providing a fun and friendly way to shoot at targets.
Archery with a real bow and arrow is available for ages 7 and older. The new archery activity is great for adults. My husband amazed me with his unexpected archery skills, hitting the bullseye multiple times!
U-Pick Farm
Florida's strawberry season typically runs from December through March, ensuring pleasant weather for your visit. When you're ready to start picking, the farm's friendly crew will provide containers for your freshly picked strawberries. The rows of strawberries come in different varieties and levels of sweetness, making it a delightful experience for everyone, including toddlers.
Blueberry picking starts in March and usually lasts until May.
During the fall season, you can stroll the beautiful sunflower fields. But don't overlook the zinnias either. The colorful zinnia flowers come in a variety of colors including red, pink, and purple tones. The sunflowers often get all the attention, but the zinnias have their own magic.
During our visit to the Fall Festival, I picked some zinnias alongside my friend. At first, I wasn't sure the zinnias were going to turn out so well. But once I got them home I trimmed the leaves off to help the zinnias last longer. They looked dazzling on our dining room table and lasted about a week.
While picking, don't forget to capture some photos or videos against the backdrop of the picturesque scenery. Once you've gathered your desired quantity, proceed to the checkout, where you'll be charged $4.95 per pound for the strawberries you've picked.
Food and Refreshments
If you find yourself hungry during your visit, worry not! Amber Brooke Farms has you covered with options like lunch, freshly baked goods, and refreshing slushes. Amber Brooke Farms has their own food trailers and often brings in local food trucks during busy weekends and events.
Additionally, don't miss the opportunity to explore the farm's gift shop, where you can purchase fresh jams, sauces, and cocktail mixes.
What to Bring
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit, remember to:
- Apply sunscreen and wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
- Dress comfortably and opt for closed-toed shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
- Consider using a baby carrier for non-walking infants, as maneuvering a stroller can be challenging.
- Bring your own water, the farm does sell bottled beverages – stay hydrated
Restrooms are available, however they are portable. There are also portable hand washing stations, but bringing along your own hand sanitizer is helpful.
Parking and Admission
Ample parking is available. You'll be parking in a large field, rather than a paved area. Admission is free on u-pick days. However, some special events require tickets around $15, so be sure to check the farm's calendar for details.
Keep in mind that Amber Brooke Farms is a cashless venue, so be sure to have a debit or credit card for payments.
This local family business is so charming and relaxing. Amber Brooke Farms is a year-round experience you won't want to miss.
