On Saturday, June 8 from 8 p.m.–11 p.m. the Orlando Science
Center
will become an adults-only venue for Science Night Live, a grown-up-inspired
program featuring music, movies, star gazing, food and drinks.

Attendees will experience “U2 3D,” the first live-action 3D
concert movie featuring rock band U2. Screened in the Digital Adventure Theater,
this National Geographic film features U2 performing during the Vertigo Tour in
2006 and contains performances of 14 songs, including tracks from “How to
Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.”

There will also be a presentation about the science of
harmony and music with Dr. Scott Warfield. The UCF professor and musicologist
will explore where music and science intersect as well as why, scientifically speaking, music is so freaking awesome.

The entire Science Center will be open for access, including
the new Blue Man Group—Making Waves, a 1,500-square-foot exhibit multi-sensory
exploration of sound.

Guests can also wander up to the Crosby Observatory for some
stargazing through the 10-inch refractor telescope. View moons, planets and
deep sky objects such as galaxies, and nebulas plus an unobstructed view of the
downtown Orlando skyline from the sixth-floor terrace.

Food (including gourmet beef sliders and re-stuffed potato
skins), beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $15 at the door and include access to all four
floors of exhibits, live programming and presentations, “U2 3D” screening, and nighttime
viewing in the Crosby Observatory.
