Get ready, St. Augustine! A unique new cafe is coming to town. The Capybara Cafe is set to open its doors on October 26, 2024, offering visitors the chance to sip on coffee and snacks while enjoying the company of adorable capybaras.
The Capybara Cafe is an operation of the nonprofit Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, which aims to house and rehabilitate exotic animals and use them to educate the public about them. Proceeds from the cafe will go toward the mission of Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.
Here in Orlando, we love the Capybara Experience at Gatorland, and now we're tempted to make the day trip to St. Augustine to cuddle with these cuties and sip on some coffee creations.
What To Expect at The Capybara Cafe
You can enjoy unforgettable moments with their resident capybara Mocha and Latte, savor delicious drinks, and support wildlife through their partnership with Noah’s Ark Sanctuary. While reservations are required to interact with the capybara, this takes place in a separate space from the cafe so you can still go enjoy a drink and learn what they are all about.
We are happy to announce we are launching the highly anticipated Capybara Café in Saint Augustine, Florida. With only two like it in the world, we are hoping to bring an educational and fun experience to the area where people can learn about and interact with our sweet and lovable capybaras. Held by our sister nonprofit organization Noah’s Ark Sanctuary, all proceeds go to the nonprofit to help build enclosures and to have the resources to care for native and local injured and orphaned wildlife, as well as exotic pet surrenders.
