If you're a night owl who likes romantic comedy and live theater, I have just the date for you. Orlando's funniest new show is SAK Comedy Lab's “Better Days,” an episodic sitcom appearing Friday Nights at 11:30 p.m.
Starring an ensemble cast of SAK's best performers as well as other local area actors, “Better Days” premiers a hilarious new episode each month. The first episode debuted this past Friday and will run for the rest of January (barring 1/18).
“Better Days” is SAK's first scripted production in nearly ten years. Written by John Valines (“SAK Comedy Lab” and “Toxic Audio”) and award winning musician and writer Tod Kimbro (“My Illustrious Wasteland”, “Media” and “Caffeine”), the plot centers on a bar owner's recent breakup and his friends who try to pull both him and the bar out of a comicaly depressing spiral. Picture the love child of “It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia” and “Friends.” Including a Dungeons and Dragons nerd, an aspiring musician/waitress, and a pair of sex-crazed alcoholics, this motely crew will keep you and your date cracking up in your seats.
SAK Comedy Lab is located in the heart of downtown Orlando, right above CityArts Factory, presenting you with a great variety of dinner or drink options before showtime. If this date sounds like your kind of thing, visit https://www.sakcomedylab.com// for more information.
