I’ve walked by the sign for the EO Inn dozens of times and always wondered what it’s like inside. So, one day I called and asked for a tour.
Turns out this 17-room boutique hotel on the corner of Eola Drive and Robinson Street (above Panera) is not only super cute, but with rates as low as $89/night, it’s not too far fetched to imagine combining an EO Inn overnight with a big night out on the town.
PERKS
Everyone gets a balcony in each of the minimalist rooms with chic décor and comfy queen or king beds.
The onsite spa offers couple’s massages as well as an outdoor hot tub. Follow EO Inn on Facebook; they are always running great spa deals.
NEARBY
EO Inn is in the heart of downtown, which means most of the area’s best restaurants are within walking distance. Check out Hue or Dexter’s in Thornton Park’s or take a pedicap over to Church Street for dinner at one of a handful more restaurants, including Ceviche or Kres Chophouse.
Since you don’t have to worry about driving home, you might as well stay out and hit Church Street's bars, head to Ceviche’s late night Flamenco show or grab some swanky martinis at the Grand Bohemian’s Bosendorfer Lounge, where live music plays and DJs spin until 1 a.m.
Next time you have tickets to a concert, are celebrating a special occasion, or just want the chance to sleep in (lord, I miss that!) consider turning date night into an overnight. It’s not a pricey as you might think.
