Let's face it, regular adult nights can get a little…well, routine. Dinner and a movie? Been there, done that. Bar hopping? Maybe not in the mood tonight. But what if we told you there was a way to experience the pure, unadulterated fun of childhood haunts, with an adult twist? Buckle up, because we're taking you on a journey to rediscover the magic of kid-centric places after dark!
And you can find even more ideas in our guide to Orlando for adults.
Friday Date Night at Super Awesome Cool Pottery
Super Awesome Cool Pottery has an impressive lineup of classes for kids. Kids can paint pottery and canvases and make handmade creations with clay. But the fun is not just reserved for kids. Exclusively for adults 18+, the studio offers adult classes on the pottery wheel and every Friday night is date night. Recreate the iconic scene from Ghost (ok, maybe not the entire scene…) and throw a pot on the wheel, or choose from already created items to paint together. Whatever you choose to do, with Super Awesome in the name of the studio, how could your date night be anything but?
After hours at Primrose Lanes
Bowling isn't just for the family anymore! Colonial Lanes has been reborn as Primrose Lanes Restaurant and Bowling Club. Drink, dine, and bowl with lanes of fun, plus a dining space helmed by some familiar names from Orlando’s culinary scene. Chef Nick Grecco (Cask & Larder, Black Bean Deli) developed the menu, and you can get your cocktail fix at the bar overlooking the lanes.
Be sure to notice the timeline of this historic property, displayed along the dining room. There are so many details and decor that repurpose parts of the original bowling alley that originally opened in 1959.

DIY Disney Springs Pub Crawl
Gone are the days of sugary sodas and character mocktails (unless that is your jam – no judgment here!). Disney Springs has blossomed into a vibrant hub for adults seeking sophisticated sips and delicious bites. With so many options, it is easy for a thirsty adventurer to put together a DIY Disney Springs Pub Crawl.
Want to save some money? Visit during Disney Springs Happy Hour!
With close to 70 dining and drinking options at Disney Springs, you are bound to find something for everyone. By the way, we recommend using a ride-share service so you can fully enjoy your pub crawl, safely. Of course, there are Disney hotels nearby too if you want to make a getaway of it, including Disney's Port Orleans Resort a short boat ride away.

Nona Adventure Park
Nona Adventure Park is home to a huge inflatable aqua park with obstacles, slides, trampolines, and more, plus a cable park for wakeboarding and a challenging ropes course. It is tons of fun for kids, but it is also a great place for a day or early evening date. Spend an hour or two playing in the aquapark together, or if you are more adventurous, you can try out wakeboarding.
After your fun in the water is done, head over to Splashes Bar & Grill to grab a glass of wine or beer to sip while watching the sunset. Pro Tip: Unwind to the sweet sounds of live music at their Songs at Sunset event every Friday evening from 5-8pm. Head to the restaurant for a night of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and soul-soothing melodies. As the sun sets over the park, let the music transport you to a place of peace and tranquility.
Our tip: Pair your visit with a Lake Nona food crawl.
Central Florida Zoo
By day, Central Florida Zoo is understandably dominated by families with kids. But periodically the zoo opens up after hours just for the 21+ crowd.
In the springtime, they also have Brews Around the Zoo, a special 21+ event that features beer stations with over 30 different craft beers, a seltzer station, wine tastings, and live music. Tickets include access to all beer, wine, and seltzer stations around the Zoo.

Seminole Aerial Adventures
Did you know that you can Zip Line at the Central Florida Zoo? At Seminole Aerial Adventures at the Central Florida Zoo, you can zip your way through the Uplands course ($35.95-$39.95) and complete 1.5 hours of fun with 15 game elements and 7 zip lines.
If you're feeling more adventurous, complete the Uplands course and then add on the Rainforest course for an additional $10. This course takes around 2.5 hours to complete and includes 33 elements and 13 zip lines. The Rainforest adventure can only be done after completing Uplands on the same day.
Adults-Only Night Out at Planet Obstacle
Planet Obstacle is a huge indoor active entertainment center with trampolines, a ropes course, a zip line, a ninja warrior course, and more. Pretty much all areas of Planet Obstacle are open for adult use other than a few areas that are specific for kids. On Friday and Saturday, Planet Obstacle is open until 9pm and would make a fun date before or after dinner. But for a totally kid-free experience, attend the regular Adults Night Out events throughout the year. Besides the space being a kid-free zone, you also get a free drink of your choice (beer or wine).

Science Night Live at Orlando Science Center
Orlando Science Center has educational family fun down to a science (pun intended). But do you know about their adults-only event series? Five times a year, OSC hosts Science Night Live, a 21+ event with no kids in sight. Adults get to experience all the exhibits, listen to guest speakers, watch movies on a giant screen, and partake in adult libations and snacks (food and drinks cost extra). If you and your significant other are into science, this is the perfect date for you!
Fun Spot America
I visited Fun Spot America recently and thought that while it is ideal for a family day out, it's also a fun option for a date night. At Fun Spot, you pay one price and you get to enjoy the entire park until it closes. They have plenty of rides including go-karts, a Ferris wheel, and a wooden rollercoaster. If you are brave enough, you and your significant other can get up close and personal on the skycoaster; once you have swung over a building together, you are bonded for life! End your evening on a sweet note by visiting one of the food stands in the park and grabbing a funnel cake or some fried Oreos.
Andretti Indoor Karting
This all-in-one complex features go-karting, bowling, VR games, and more. From classic arcade and prize games to the latest and greatest, there's something for everyone.
While there aren't adults-only hours or events, Andretti is open until 11pm on weeknights and 1am on Friday and Saturday. We're pretty sure that most kiddos will be long gone by then, leaving the place wide open for some adult fun. Indulge in an unforgettable dining experience in their full-service restaurant and bar, where good times and amazing food come together. Their award-winning Chef has carefully curated a menu that celebrates the use of fresh ingredients, and culinary creations made entirely from scratch.
Pro Tip: If bowling is more your speed, check out their Rush Hour Bowling! Games are just $5 per person/per hour, including shoe rental, Monday – Friday, from 4-7pm.
EPCOT Concerts + Festivals
EPCOT is one of my favorite places to go for a date night. You can travel around the world in an evening without leaving Orlando. Nibble on food from the myriad of restaurants featuring country-specific cuisine and enjoy live music and entertainment. Families tend to go to the parks earlier in the day, so visiting in the evening is your best bet for fewer kids.
EPCOT also features several festivals throughout the year that are perfect for a date night or day date. The Food and Wine festival is tops for us, but the Festival of the Holidays is a close second. The Festival of the Arts featuring the Broadway Concert Series is a must for music-loving couples as is the Flower and Garden Festival with its Garden Rocks Concert Series.

Player 1 Video Game Bar
Video games aren't just for the kiddos! When it comes to video games, drinking and playing games go hand in hand! Several Orlando bars make for great indoor date ideas and allow you to sip adult beverages while indulging your inner child. One of the most popular and longest-lasting arcade bars in Orlando is Player 1 Video Game Bar.
Orlando's ultimate gamer lounge with games from Ms. Pac-Man to PS5 and one of the best selections of craft beer around. A $5 cover charge gets you unlimited retro arcade games in Player 1, a dark, clubby bar filled with video games and craft brews. It's no-frills, sure, but it's also an incredibly fun way to spend an afternoon.
