Wouldn't it be great to have a fun, connective date night while feeling like you made a difference in your community at the same time? That's exactly the thinking behind our Do Good Date Night series. Couples pitch in to help a local non-profit and then they kick back and enjoy food, drinks and good times. It's a win-win for everyone.

ABOUT DO GOOD DATE NIGHT

The Do Good Date Night combines volunteering with date night by giving couples access to fun and rewarding service experiences in our community. This new and innovative event series takes place six times a year.

“We have a lot of fundraising dinners and events in Orlando but they can be pretty expensive and they don't physically connect people to a cause in a tangible way,” says Kristen Manieri, founder of Orlando Date Night Guide.com and creator of the Do Good Date Night series. “This event series is all about giving couples a fun date night out but also giving them the opportunity to make a difference in our community.”

Orlando Sentinel front page
Do Good Date Night was featured on the front page of the Orlando Sentinel on September 25, 2015. You can read the full article here. Here's a link to a 2nd Orlando Sentinel story, which ran on February 11, 2016.

On September 26, we launched our first Do Good Date Night in partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere, a Longwood-based non-profit that has sent more than 30 million meals to hungry children across the world since it began in 2010.

“I believe most people want to do something to help the many, many families struggling in Central Florida but it's difficult to fit volunteering into our busy lives,” says Kristen Manieri. “That's why combining volunteering with date night is such a win/win. Couples go out and do something connective and fun together but it's also the chance to make a difference. It's a very rewarding experience for all.”

40 couples attended our first Do Good Date Night on September 26, a sold out event catered by Swine & Sons!
We made 9,504 meals for Feeding Children Everywhere and raised enough money to fund 12,000 more!! Unbelievable. We made such a difference and had so much fun doing it.

HOW IT WORKS
Couples purchase a ticket to a Do Good Date Night event (typically $20-$25 per couple) and spend an hour volunteering followed by an hour of food and fun. Ticket revenue funds a great event through the purchase of catering, beer and wine.
